Now in its seventh year, Sydney BarShow is country’s leading event for bar professionals. In 2007, Sydney BarShow attracted close to 7,000 bar industry professionals; a 16 per cent increase on figures from 2006.

Due to the expansion of Sydney BarShow , the event will move to the larger site of The Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park (Fox Studios) for Sydney BarShow 08.

Gary Regan, one of the world’s leading drinks writers and bartending experts, will be flown to Sydney to exclusively appear as Bartender magazine’s Special International Guest Speaker at Sydney BarShow 08 and Sydney BarShow Conference in September.

He will deliver a captivating seminar at Sydney BarShow Conference and will be a headline speaker at Sydney BarShow, presenting a range of Mixology and tasting sessions over the two days of the show. Now based in New York, UK raised Gary is a legend of the global bar scene, and even has his own brand of cocktail bitters - Regan's.

Gary Regan, the world renowned drinks writer, direct from New York City, is confirmed for Sydney BarShow 08 as Bartender magazine’s Special International Guest Speaker!

Apart from an honourable stint as a bartender, Gary Regan is responsible for such books as The Bartenders Bible and The Joy of Mixology. He has also contributed to many publications; writing drinks columns for The San Francisco Chronicle, The Malt Advocate, and The Wine Enthusiast, to mention a few. Gary also regularly appears in our very own Bartender magazine his Cocktailian page. It is with great pleasure (and more than a little excitement) that we can welcome him to our shores in September for another fantastic BarShow.
